Ackerman Security Provides Free Security System for Burglarized Atlanta Family

An Atlanta-area family’s home was burglarized last week after 11Alive donated Christmas gifts to them. The mother and her four children had received the gifts after being recognized by the local station’s “Random Acts of Kindness.”

After the story aired, the family’s home was broken into and the donated gifts were stolen. When 11Alive heard what had transpired, they moved quickly to find local businesses to help remedy the situation.

Toys “R” Us treated the four children to a shopping spree to replace the stolen items. The family showed up to the store and was told to pick out whatever they wanted.

As an additional measure, Ackerman Security stepped in to donate a home security system for the family to protect them and their second round of gifts.
